LEARNING JOURNEYS

Learning Journeys cultivates a learning environment that focuses on a collaboration of interests with educators, experts, and artisans within destinations the world over. We believe that no matter where we go or how old we are, life-long learning is fundamental to personal growth.
While absorbing interests that move you and learning skills that engage you, you will also be immersed in the sights, sounds, and tastes of the culture visited. Pursue a hobby, develop a skill, learn a trade, study a community...Learning Journeys offers a range of programs across scaled levels of learning in destinations globally that will transform you, mind, body, and soul.

Below are examples of some of one of our programs

Queen of The Nile - Egypt

Program Overview

Journey with us to Egypt!
This 9-day journey will be packed with learning experiences. See the world-famous Pyramids and be transported back to the time of Pharaohs.
Visit the Egyptian Museum and broaden your understanding of a long-ago era through historical artifacts.
Then, continue on to Luxor where you will experience Egypt via luxury cruise.
One of the most important parts of learning about a culture may be found in its food.
You will have the chance to dine at local restaurants and have a cooking lesson and home -visit to learn about authentic Egypt from a local family.
Your visit supports an advocacy movement to empower the women of Egypt.

Desert Rose - A woman's learning immersion in Jordan

The nine-day small group, Desert Rose itinerary invites women on a journey through Jordan and
discover the rich culture through the lens of local women.
Starting in the capital city of Amman, the Jordanian immersion begins with an evening cooking class and
dinner at Beit Sitti, a women-owned restaurant. While in Amman, a visit to the Iraq El-Amir Women
Cooperative Society provides time to work with locals on one or more projects such as ceramics,
weaving, Labaneh preparation, and more.
In Beit Al-Baraka, there a variety of exploratory experiences to pursue from cycling the flat farmlands of
Umm Qaia to meeting local artists who are reviving basket weaving with banana leaves, palm and straw
(a tradition deeply rooted in the Yarmouk Valleys). From there, a trip to the Dead Sea will ensure a
tranquil afternoon spent at the spa or a casual exploration of the nearby sites.
No trip to Jordan is complete without a visit to Petra. A full day of exploring the ruins is concluded with a
sunset Jeep tour with a Bedouin driver to Wadi Rum. The trip ends with morning yoga in Wadi Rum
followed by a journey back to Amman for a final evening of soaking in all the just-discovered culture and
traditions. See full itinerary HERE
